Novak Djokovic retired injured after losing the first set 7-6(5) against Alex Zverev on Friday (January 24, 2025) to put the German through to his first Australian Open final.

Zverev will meet the winner of the Jannik Sinner and Ben Shelton match in Sunday’s (January 26, 2025) decider as he bids for his first Grand Slam title.

The Serb’s upper left leg was again heavily taped after he hurt it in the quarter-finals and he called time after going down 7-6 (7/5).
