Bollywood’s two renowned names have found themselves embroiled in a controversy, as they have been booked for cheating and breach of trust case. These two actors are – Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath.
Yes, you read that right, reports are doing the rounds that the names of Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath have been registered in an FIR filed in a cheating and breach of trust case at Murthal police station in Haryana’s Sonipat district.
Reportedly, 13 people have been accused in the FIR, which was filed on 22 January. It was filed under Sections 316 (2), 318 (2), and 318 (4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which includes charges regarding criminal breach of trust, cheating, and property transfer through deception.
The complainant has mentioned the actors while sharing the list of the accused in the matter, said Ajeet Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP), Murthal, while talking to The Print.
“The main complaint is against the society that is alleged to have duped people of their money by luring them to invest. We will have to investigate what role, if any, is ascribed to Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath,” said ACP.
Further, the report states that the complainant is a resident of Sonipat, who has filed a complaint against the Human Welfare Credit Cooperative Society in Indore under the Multi-State Cooperative Society Act, 2002.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shreyas Talpade’s latest outing is ‘Emergency.’ Headlined and directed by Kangana Ranaut, the movie talks about India’s emergency period from 1975 to 1977. The film’s ensemble cast includes Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, the late actor Satish Kaushik, and more.
On the other hand, Alok Nath has contributed to 300 films in his career.
