Bollywood heartthrob Aditya Roy Kapur has long been admired for his chiseled physique and dedication to fitness in projects like The Night Manager, Fitoor, Malang and Rashtra Kavach Om. Known for his intense workout routines focused on weightlifting and strength training, the actor has now added kickboxing to his fitness regimen.
( Rohit Nair)
To master the art of kickboxing, Aditya has sought the guidance of Rohit Nair, a renowned fitness and mixed martial arts trainer with extensive expertise in kickboxing and a history of competing in various MMA tournaments. Nair is well-versed in preparing action-ready physiques and has trained prominent actors like Ali Fazal, Prateik Babbar, Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, and Vir Das over the years.
Interestingly, this connection goes beyond the gym as both Aditya and Ali are currently collaborating on an upcoming project called Rakht Bramand which is being backed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, directed by Rahi Anil Barve and also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Wamiqa Gabbi and Jaideep Ahlawat. The two of them will also be seen in Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino. In fact Aditya who already has a trainer for strength and weight training roped in Rohit for kick-boxing right before he began shooting for the show Rakht Bramand.
While Kick-Boxing has its own benefits as it combines cardio and strength training, one of the reasons for Aditya to take up the sport is because he is a huge UFC fan and keenly follows the sport and its athletes and dedicatedly watches most of the matches.
Aditya is also reportedly doing a film with his Aashiqui team of Shraddha Kapoor and Mohit Suri but till now there is no confirmation about it.
