Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha, who share a deep personal bond, have worked together in films like Dost and Kaala Patthar. On Yaaron Ki Baraat, Amitabh shared funny anecdotes, including Shatrughan’s unpunctuality and a time he had to help push Shatrughan’s broken-down car.
Bachchan also highlighted Shatrughan Sinha’s well-known habit of being late, jokingly mentioning that he was usually the one waiting for Shatrughan. However, on this occasion, Shatrughan arrived half an hour before Amitabh, prompting a laugh from both, as Shatrughan humorously pointed out that it was the first time he had arrived earlier.
Big B recalled working on Shaan and Naseeb with Shatrughan, mentioning how they had different shooting shifts. While Amitabh would arrive at 7:00 am for Shaan, Shatrughan would often show up by 11:00 am or noon. Amitabh also humorously shared how, despite leaving together for the next shoot, he would reach Chandivali Studio by 2 pm, while Shatrughan would arrive by 6 pm. He joked about Shatrughan disappearing along the way, even though they were heading to the same place from the same location.
Bachchan recalled an incident where he had to push Shatrughan Sinha’s car after it broke down on Mumbai’s roads. Despite their only having one old, beaten-up car, the two would travel together, and often, the car would break down. Amitabh described how Shatrughan would sit comfortably inside while he got out to push the car, even asking him to push it properly.
Amitabh Bachchan shared that Shatrughan Sinha has always been known for his lack of punctuality. He joked that no matter the event, film, or flight, Shatrughan would never be on time. Amitabh mentioned how relaxed Shatrughan is, often needing others to push him to board the flight when it’s about to take off.
