Raveena Tandon‘s daughter Rasha Thadani just made her debut onscreen with ‘Azaad‘ co-starring Aaman Devgn. While she’s just made her debut, even before the release of her first film, she gained immense popularity and fame. From people liking her every time she’s spotted by the paparazzi to her first song ‘Uyi Amma‘ becoming a rage, Rasha is at the cusp of stardom. During a chat with ETimes, Rasha and Aaman opened up on their debut film, while sharing bits about themselves. We asked them if they are scared to be themselves as young people or newcomers, because people are constantly now judging, Rasha displayed how mature she is at quite a young age.
The 19-year old said, “A lot of this career path and a lot of this path of acting is about being yourself. If you are not being yourself because if you are not yourself in a scene then it will not come across. Your character has to be a part of you. I learnt that from Gattu sir that you have to really embody your character so that it gets natural and organic. Being yourself is what everyone should aspire to do because everyone has flaws, everyone is weird, everyone has insecurities. The minute you change or try and be something you’re not, it will be very superficial and the connect with the audience will go. People will be like, ‘she’s trying to do this or that’.”
So, does she have any insecurities? Responding to it, Rasha admitted, “It’s so normal to have insecurities. I wouldn’t say I have insecurities now, but it’s more like, ‘okay this I’m not loving, I can do better. Or this, I’m not loving, but I can change this to make myself a better person. A lot of time, I remember being conscious even while shooting. I would think, ‘why am I looking like this or why is this looking like that?’ I think I’ve spent a lot of time, telling myself that ‘this is me, this is who I am but I will work on it to make myself better. I’m born with it, so why put myself because of it’.”
