After hours of manhunt that involved around 30 different teams from different departments, the Mumbai Police successfully nabbed the the key suspect who attacked Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Mumbai residence on January 16. Identified as Mohammad Alian, the suspect was arrested early on Sunday in Thane, Maharashtra and the latest report states that he has confessed to the crime.
According to an ANI news flash, the suspect, who initially mentioned his name as ‘Vijay Das’, has confessed to the crime. Reports suggest that Mohammad Alian, the suspect, was a housekeeping staff member at Ricky’s Bar in Thane.

The horrifying attack on Saif Ali Khan and his family unfolded on January 16, when the actor was apparently confronting the intruder who attempted robbery at his Bandra West residence.
According to the official complaint in the case, the attacker initially entered the room of Jehangir (Jeh) Khan’s younger son. The house staff noticed the intruder and raised an alarm, which alerted others. Saif Ali Khan and his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, quickly rushed to Jeh’s room, where a struggle occurred.
During the altercation, Khan sustained serious injuries from multiple stab wounds, including one to his neck and near his spine. He was promptly transported to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw, where he had emergency surgery. The actor is now in stable condition and is recovering at a good pace.
Dr. Nitin Dange, the neurosurgeon who treated Saif Ali Khan, updated us on his health and confirmed that the actor will be discharged soon. “We are observing his progress, and he is doing well according to our expectations,” Dr. Dange shared.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who met with the Mumbai Police to provide her testimony, noted that during the altercation, the intruder grew more hostile but did not attempt to handle the jewelry displayed in the open. This fact has fueled speculation regarding the real motives of the attacker.
