After the grand success of ‘Pushpa’ the expectations from its sequel were very high. When its songs, BTS, and other teasers came out, the movie created a huge buzz in the industry. And then came the final test, when the movie was released on December 5, 2025, and the Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer passed the test with flying colors. With an impressive opening of ₹ 164.25 Cr across all languages in India, ‘Pushpa 2’ made it clear it is here to leave a mark. With every passing day, the movie only saw an upward graph and currently, after 5 weeks, on day 38 the movie continues to have a strong grip with Rs.2 Cr business across all languages in India, according to the Sacnilk report.
The blockbuster has entered its sixth weekend and despite high competition from various other movies, it has continued to shine. It would not be wrong to say that the movie is here to stay, while its competition ‘Baby John’ started losing screens because of bad box office in the early days of its release. On the one hand, where ‘Pushpa 2’ is earning in crores even after a month of release, Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Baby John’ struggled hard to even reach an overall Rs40 crore mark.
The movie is now facing new challenges with the release of Sonu Sood’s and Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer,’ but its magic is working on the audience to date.
If we look at the week-wise collection of the movie, the opening week saw a smashing business with earnings of Rs 725.8 crore net. Thereafter Rs 264.8 crore were made in the second week, followed by a business of Rs 129.5 crore in the third week. Week 4 saw an earning of Rs 69.65 crore and an additional Rs 23.25 crore were made in week 5.
