In a recent interview, she talked about her future career plans and said she admires Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt for their work in production. Ananya is interested in producing but feels she isn’t ready to direct yet.
Talking to Forbes India, Ananya discussed her ambitions beyond acting. She expressed that she doesn’t yet feel ready to direct but has had extensive conversations about producing with her father, Chunky Panday. Ananya is keen on exploring production as a way to carry forward her family’s legacy in the film industry.
The actress said that sometimes she feels something in a script isn’t right and wishes for a different casting. She explained that choosing projects involves many options, and being a producer lets her bring different ideas together. She also mentioned wanting to create certain types of projects, even if she doesn’t want to act in them, highlighting that a producer has the “power” to make those projects happen.
Panday talked about actresses like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, who have their own production companies. She thinks their work in production has given them a “new life as an actor.” Ananya noted that they are exploring new things while still being true to what they do best. She hopes to do something similar in the future.
In 2024, Ananya received a good response for her performances in the cyber-thriller film ‘CTRL’ and the comedy-drama series ‘Call Me Bae’. Following this success, she will be seen in upcoming projects, including a film based on C. Sankaran Nair and ‘Chand Mera Dil’.
