Sunita Ahuja recently addressed rumours about her daughter Tina stepping away from acting. She dismissed the claims and pointed out that Tina’s limited work opportunities were due to her husband, Govinda, taking less interest in her career.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sunita clarified that while Tina received positive feedback for her role in Second Hand Husband, there was a misconception that Govinda would interfere on set, being strict and bossy. She explained that Tina doesn’t need to work out of necessity and is waiting for the right opportunity. Sunita emphasised that if a good role comes along, Tina would definitely take it, urging others to give her the chance to work.
The star wife also believes that nepotism is a factor limiting Tina’s opportunities in Bollywood. She expressed that nepotism should be stopped and others should be given a chance to work, not just a select group of star kids. Sunita confirmed that Tina is eager to work and remains open to good opportunities, pointing out that it’s not enough to see the same actors repeatedly.
In the same interview, Sunita further spoke about her son Yash‘s upcoming Bollywood debut. She advised him not to follow in his father Govinda’s footsteps, as comparisons are inevitable. She praised Yash’s hardworking nature, recalling how he once stopped eating for a week to lose weight. Regarding Tina, Sunita clarified that she won’t leave Bollywood, dismissing rumors and explaining that Tina recently addressed this in a podcast.
