Actress and politician Hema Malini‘s lighthearted video from the ongoing Kumbh Mela has gone viral. The clip sees the veteran actress sharing a hearty laugh with Baba Ramdev while taking a dip.
In a clip shared widely on social media, Baba Ramdev can be seen taking a dip and tossing his hair back. The yoga guru is seen wetting his long locks once again before dramatically tossing it back. However, in a rather amusing turn of events, owing to the crowds, a Sadhu standing too close to the Baba was slapped unintentionally with his hair.
The Sadhu, visibly surprised to have Ramdev’s hair on his face, is also seen laughing with those around him, including Hema Malini. Baba Ramdev, on realising what had happened, laughs and coyly looks back as the Sadhu who was wiping the water away from his face.
The video has left netizens amused, with many flooding the comments section with laugh-out-loud emoticons.
Hema Malini, who was among the many devotees, attending the Kumbh Mela, was later seen expressing her joy about being able to take the holy dip on Mauni Amawasya. In a statement to the press, she said, “I am fortunate to have had the chance to do ‘snan’ with Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdhesanand Giri Maharaj on this auspicious occasion. I felt happy to be among crores of people and to have had the opportunity to take a holy dip. Thank you.”
The Kumbh Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, continues to draw millions of devotees, saints, and celebrities alike. Over the past week, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and girlfriend, Dakota Johnson also visited Prayagraj. Meanwhile, another video doing the rounds saw actor and director Remo D’Souza also head to the Kumbh Mela in disguise to take a dip.
