‘Skyforce’ actor Veer Pahariya says he felt ashamed to go to school when his parents got divorced: I wish it doesn’t happen to anyone | Hindi Movie News

Veer Pahariya has just made his debut with ‘Skyforce’ starring Akshay Kumar. The film has been getting rave reviews and is doing decently well at the box office. For those not in the know, Veer is the grandson of former Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. His mother is Smruti Shinde and father is Sanjay Pahariya. His parents had got divorced when he was really young, going to school. In a recent interview, the young actor has opened up on how the separation of his parents affected Veer.
“It’s not good for any child when their parents separate. Back then, there wasn’t social media or any way for me to understand what was happening. It was a very strange experience growing up. Newspapers were constantly publishing details about their court proceedings, and everything was on the internet. I felt ashamed to go to school and didn’t have many friends. I stayed away from people and was very nervous and underconfident as a child. I wish it doesn’t happen to anyone,” he said in an interview with Siddharth Kannan.
Veer also admitted that he took therapy which helped him cope up with this. “I think we all go through trauma at some point in life, and we should talk about it. For me, therapy and acting workshops have helped a lot. I still believe in love and marriage,” he said.
He further revealed that after their parent’s separation, him and his brother Shikhar Pahariya moved to Mumbai with their mom, hence, they did not meet their father much. But now they have bond. He said, “I didn’t see my father much, but we are very close now. My parents always played their roles as parents well, even though they weren’t great as husband and wife. But I never felt their absence as parents.”
Veer was rumoured to have dated Sara Ali Khan a few years ago.
