The sensational case of Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident continues to dominate headlines, as the actor now recuperates at home following surgery. Several fellow actors have offered their support and strength to the star during these tough times. Recently, renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya lauded Saif’s resilience, describing him as a ‘warrior.’
Reflecting on their bond and professional collaborations, Sooraj recalled working with Saif during the production of ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, which spanned 150 days of shooting. He expressed optimism about Saif’s recovery in a recent conversation with PTI, “We shot it for almost 150 days, and it did so well. I wish him all the best; he’s such a warrior.”
Released in 1999, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ became a massive success, with Saif portraying the playful and carefree Vinod. The film featured an ensemble cast, including Salman Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Karisma Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Mohnish Bahl, Reema Lagoo, and Alok Nath.
On January 16, Saif was stabbed multiple times by an intruder who broke into his Bandra residence. The attack left him with critical injuries near his neck and spine. Following emergency surgery at a hospital, the actor was discharged on January 21.
The Mumbai Police arrested Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national, on January 19 after identifying him through CCTV footage. Investigations revealed that Shariful entered India illegally and had planned the robbery after being promised counterfeit citizenship documents in exchange for money.
In a surprising twist, police announced that none of the 19 fingerprint samples collected from the crime scene matched those of the suspect. This unexpected development has added complexity to the case, prompting authorities to redouble their efforts in the investigation.
