Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Talent’ has been under fire owing to the controversial remarks made by the guests on the latest episode featuring Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani and more. The remarks made on the show have escalated to the extent that the guests are facing legal troubles. Amid this controversial drama, Apoorva Mukhija aka ‘The Rebel Kid’ is reportedly losing work. Latest reports indicated that Apoorva Mukhija has been dropped from Rajasthan Tourism’s treasure hunt shoots.
The shoot which has been done in collaboration with IIFA has removed the famous YouTuber from the list. Reportedly the collaborator has informed the Rajasthan Tourism Department that the promoters are effectively cutting her off from the campaign.
The promotional treasure hunt shoot was scheduled at City Palace, Amarai Ghat, and Pichola Lake on February 20. In the shoot, Apoorva was supposed to feature alongside actor Ali Fazal. However, following the Latent controversy, her name was quietly removed. Although no official explanation has been provided, it is thought that the continuing protests and the threats related to her presence in Rajasthan significantly influenced the decision.
The situation intensified when a complaint was lodged in Kota on February 13 against influencers linked to India’s Got Latent. Compounding the issue, the Rajput Karni Sena expressed strong opposition to Apoorva’s participation.
Dr. Paramveer Singh Dulwat, the Udaipur division chief, commented, “These people release such videos on social media to make themselves superstars. The Tourism Department is bringing them to the land of Mewar for IIFA-related shoots, which will not be tolerated.”
While controversies might have taken one name off the list, Rajasthan Tourism’s promotional treasure hunt campaign continues. It covers seven cities with a mix of social media influencers and Bollywood stars’ presence. It started on February 7.
