Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, stepped into Bollywood with a remarkable debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s Azaad, alongside Ajay Devgn and Aaman Devgan. The 19-year-old’s expressive acting and graceful dance moves instantly won over audiences, drawing comparisons to her mother’s early career. As excitement builds for Rasha’s next project, she recently opened up about her relationship with Raveena, giving fans a glimpse into their strong and affectionate bond.
In a recent conversation with Instant Bollywood, Rasha described Raveena as her ‘best friend’ and a ‘cool mom.’ She shared that their relationship has always been friendly, though, like any other child, she did find herself in trouble at times.Rasha explained, “Of course, she corrects me wherever she feels I’m wrong. That’s a mother at the end of the day. But she’s just been my backbone.”
When asked if Raveena was strict, Rasha revealed that her mother was quite firm during her early years but ‘chilled out a lot’ once she turned 14. “Hopefully by 14 I learned and if I don’t then of course I get yellings. But yeah, no yellings have become much… I used to get thappads when I was young. I used to bite my nails she would (tapping on her hand) ‘stop it, stop it’. All those habits. I think every mother!”
Rasha admitted that she was quite mischievous as a child, adding, “Main toh bohot shaitan thi. Main itna masti karti thi, my god! Mummy papa hairan ho jaate the. Agar mummy ne kaha ‘Rasha you will not do this’, ‘okay mumma’. Aur ek minute baad I would do exactly that (laughs).”
The budding actress also revealed that she shares an open and comfortable relationship with her mother, even when it comes to discussing boys. “I can talk to her about boys openly,” she confessed.
