‘Deva‘, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde, was released in theaters on January 31, 2025, and has received positive reviews. On the release day, Pooja shared behind-the-scenes photos with director Rosshan Andrrews and thanked fans for liking her performance.
The actress shared a solo photo of herself having a serious conversation, along with two pictures with Rosshan.In her caption, she thanked everyone for their love and support for her role as Diya, saying, “Thank you to all the people who have sent me love and appreciation for my portrayal as Diya. Love only and only. Diya is now yours. Deva is in theaters now.”
‘Deva’, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, is an action thriller that promises a unique experience. The songs released before the film have built excitement. Shahid plays a rogue cop seeking revenge, while Pooja is an investigative journalist, adding depth to the story. The cast also includes Pavail Gulati, Pravessh Rana, and Kubbra Sait. Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Umesh KR Bansal, the film will be available on Netflix after its theatrical release, but the release date for the OTT platform has not been announced yet.
Pooja Hegde will next appear in Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Thalapathy 69’, which also stars Bobby Deol. The film is set to be released in October 2025 and marks Pooja’s second collaboration with Vijay after their earlier film, ‘Beast’. The cast includes notable actors such as Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
On the other hand, Shahid will star in filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming untitled project, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film also features Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda in key roles. Billed as a gangster drama, it is set to be released on December 5, 2025.
