Tamannaah Bhatia has always been vocal about body positivity, and in a recent conversation, she opened up about her evolving relationship with her body. Speaking with Masoom Minawala, the actress shared a unique self-care ritual that has helped her embrace self-love. “I do love my body. After a long day at work, I take a shower and thank every part of my body. It might sound a bit crazy, but why not? I know how much it takes every day, and I touch every part of my body, thanking it for withstanding the day and being there for me,” she said.
The ‘Lust Stories 2‘ actress further reflected on her past struggles with body image. In an earlier interview with Instant Bollywood, Tamannaah admitted that during her childhood, she equated being skinny with being fit. The pressure to look a certain way in movies also affected her perception of beauty. “There was a time when I believed being thin made me beautiful, but eventually, I realized it only served a certain utility and didn’t truly make me feel good about myself,” she shared.
The actress acknowledged that her mindset shifted only recently, and she credited her journey with dance and performances like ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ for helping her accept her body. “The times I actually started feeling beautiful had little to do with how thin I was. It took me a long time to understand that,” she added.
On the work front, Tamannaah was recently seen in ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar,’ which revolves around a diamond heist and the involvement of three key suspects. Tamannaah played Kamini Singh, alongside Avinash Tiwary as Sikandar Sharma and Rajiv Mehta as Mangesh Desai. The film also stars Jimmy Shergill as Investigating Officer Jaswinder Singh.
Earlier this year, Tamannaah made a memorable cameo in ‘Stree 2,’ where she garnered attention with her performance in the song ‘Aaj Ki Raat.’
Looking ahead, Tamannaah will star in ‘Odela 2,’ directed by Ashok Teja and produced by D. Madhu, with Sampath Nandi as the creator. In March, she shared a poster from the film, showcasing her role as a devoted Shiva worshipper.
