The rumours of Bollywood actors Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday reuniting on-screen might just be true.
After nearly six years, the duo was spotted together attending a script reading session for the upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, fueling speculation about their collaboration. Both stars were seen arriving for the reading session, which concluded late Wednesday evening. Kartik sported a bearded look, pairing an oversized T-shirt with jeans, while Ananya kept her appearance casual in a black tee and jeans.
Reacting to the clip, fans took to the comments section to say, “YAYYY!! Kartik and Ananya in a rom-com. YESSS.”
Another said, “kartik & ananya in a romcom together? already booked my seat.”
“So Annipie is Ray’s Rumi?” asked another.
Rumours about the Pati Patni Aur Woh co-stars working together on a romantic comedy, backed by Karan Johar, began circulating earlier this month. The film marks Aaryan’s first collaboration with Johar after their previous film together was shelved.
Directed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously helmed Aaryan’s 2023 hit Satyaprem Ki Katha, the film was announced by Johar on his Instagram handle. “Wrapped in romance, here comes the best Christmas gift ever from us to you! Starring Kartik Aaryan – Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri is coming to cinemas in 2026. Directed by Sameer Vidwans,” the filmmaker posted.
In 2019, it was announced that Aaryan and Johar would collaborate on Dostana 2, a sequel to the 2008 hit Dostana. However, two years later, the makers revealed plans to recast the film, amid reports of creative differences between the producer and the actor.
This will be Kartik’s next big venture after the release of his box office blockbuster, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ which went on to become the actor’s highest grossing film to date.
Ananya, on the other hand, is also set to star in the film Chand Mera Dil, where she will share screen-space with actor Lakshya.
