Headlined by Kangana Ranaut, Jassie Gill, and Neena Gupta, the Ashwini Iyer directorial ‘Panga’ completed its 5 years recently. The movie that talked about the second inning, which proved nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it, gave Punjabi singer-actor Jassie Gill its debut in Bollywood. It gave him a chance to become a pan-India star, and Jassie Gill is nothing but grateful to have gotten that opportunity.
Reflecting on the same, Jassie Gill in his conversation with ETimes said, “It doesn’t feel like it has been that many years, it just feels like it was some time ago, maybe Covid also came in between, that’s why it is feeling like this.”
“I always say that I am blessed that I got this film and when something like this happens, that’s when the stars that guide your career, are favouring you. I enjoyed working with everyone, especially with Ashwini ma’am, with the entire team. I worked with Kangana Ranaut in that film and as I always say I had no background in acting,” he elaborated.
“When you get an opportunity to work with such talented people, you learn a lot. So if I look back to five years ago, there were many things that I learned from that film that are still helping me, be it in acting or professionalism. I mean, every single thing was very special in this film,” added the actor.
Further, when asked, if during the movie he created a special bond with someone, the singer-actor replied, “Yes, with Yagya Bhasin who played my son. He was very young, but now I see him on Instagram, he is also growing up along with the film.”
During the conversation, he again expressed his gratitude and quoted, “I became a household name like earlier I was known because of my songs, but because of this film, my work reached every household. I am blessed that I got this film and thanks to Mukesh Chhabra ji, It was he who got me the film.”
“One more thing, I also sang a Hindi song in it, and that too for Shankar Mahadevan sir. It was a big thing for me. There were a lot of good things that happened in this film which will remain with me forever,” concluded Jassie Gill.
