During the event, Shah Ruk humorously referenced a reel of his past blockbusters playing on the screen behind him, saying, “‘Shah Rukh Khan in and as Pathaan,’ ‘Shah Rukh Khan in and as Dunki,’ ‘Shah Rukh Khan in and as Jawan’… Bohot ho gaya. The filming schedule is reportedly planned to last 6 to 7 months and will be shot across various locations worldwide. The film is currently slated for a 2026 release.
This will be SRK’s next big venture after a smash hit 2023, when he delivered 2 back-to-back Rs 1000 crore blockbusters with the release of ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’. He also released ‘Dunki’ with director Rajkumar Hirani, but the film managed to gross an estimated Rs 436 crore at the worldwide box office.
‘King’ will also see the superstar sharing screen-space with his daughter Suhana Khan. He will also team up with Abhishek Bachchan, rumoured to be playing the antagonist.
