Triptii Dimri rose to prominence with her role in Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’, gaining widespread recognition after the film’s release. Her fame soared further as she starred in films like ‘Bad Newz‘, ‘Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Voh Wala Video’, and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. However, her Bulbbul co-star, Parambrata Chatterjee, believes that Triptii still has much to prove in the industry and has a long way to go in her career.
During a conversation with The Indian Express, Parambrata Chatterjee named Vidya Balan as the most talented actress, with Triptii Dimri being placed last on his list. He humorously commented, “It is what it is, national crushes are temporary, but class is permanent. No offence meant, sorry. What’s she called? Bhabhi 2!”
Parambrata explained, “She is lovely, a very nice girl, and I really get along with her. But she still has miles to go. She entered the industry very young and will learn a lot. But Vidya, I mean, sorry to say, is a class apart in whatever she does.” He worked with Vidya in Kahaani.
Dimri’s career gained significant momentum with her role in Animal, marking her entry into Bollywood’s mainstream. However, the role also attracted its fair share of scrutiny, which Triptii has handled with grace. In an interview with Forbes India, she shared her perspective on the attention surrounding her roles in Animal and Bad Newz, saying, “I am someone who wants to give 100 per cent. If I find the character or the story interesting, I want to give my all. That’s what I’ve learned—if it works, it works, and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. We won’t always be liked by everybody. There will be some people who like you, and some who don’t. You can’t keep all that noise in mind. You have to follow your heart and do things that you feel are right.”
When asked if she would try to move away from her “overtly sexualised” image, Triptii Dimri rejected the idea, focusing instead on her desire to explore diverse roles. She said, “I am going with the flow. The aim is to play different characters because I don’t want to go to a set and feel bored. I want to feel challenged and wonder, ‘How will this happen?’—and then make it happen.”
Talking about her work, Triptii Dimri is set to appear in the upcoming film Arjun Ustara, where she will share screen space with Shahid Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, and Randeep Hooda, among other notable actors.
