British band Coldplay, led by Chris Martin, wrapped up their India tour with a spectacular concert in Ahmedabad. Following electrifying performances in Mumbai, the band’s first-ever gig in Gujarat saw a packed stadium, with fans treated to an unforgettable night of music, fireworks, and heartfelt moments.
Several videos and images from the Ahmedabad gig saw the band wooing the crowds as Chris even attempted at speaking Gujarati, and greeted fans with, “Tame logo aaje badha sundar laago cho. Hu tamare shahar ma aavyo chu. Kem cho Ahmedabad?” (You all look beautiful today. I’ve come to your city. How are you, Ahmedabad?)

The highlight of the night came during ‘A Sky Full of Stars’, as the stadium transformed into a galaxy of twinkling lights, accompanied by dazzling fireworks that lit up the Ahmedabad sky.
On the occasion of India’s 76th Republic Day, Martin paid a heartfelt tribute by singing “Vande Mataram” and “Maa Tujhhe Salaam”. Ending the performance with a touching “Salute to Mother India”, he extended warm Republic Day wishes to the audience.

In a special gesture, Martin also dedicated a song to Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah, saying, “O Jasprit Bumrah, my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We did not enjoy watching you destroy England, wicket after wicket.”

After wrapping up their gig that also played live on Disney+Hotstar, the band expressed their gratitude through a post on their official social media handles that read, “Thank you, Ahmedabad. Thank you, India. We’ll never forget these two weeks. Your love and kindness will stay with us forever.”
Coldplay’s India tour began with back-to-back shows in Mumbai, followed by two performances in Ahmedabad.
