Touted to be one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood, Saif expressed that he does not consider himself a big enough star to successfully pull off every type of character. Throwback to the time when he shared his perspective on stardom and the challenges of taking on various roles in the film industry.
During an interview with Film Companion, the ‘Race’ star stated that he doesn’t want to be delusional about his stardom, acknowledging that while he enjoys being recognized as a star, he prefers to focus on reality rather than illusions of grandeur.
He mentioned that he has never thought of himself as a star and is comfortable with that mindset. His parents are established stars in their own right, but they have always maintained a sense of normalcy, which Saif admires. He said, “I’m not star enough to pull off anything. I’ve never actually thought of myself as a star, and I don’t really want to either. I like being a star, but I don’t want to be delusional. My parents are big stars, but very realistic, very normal.”
He also shared the importance of accepting risks in the industry and understanding that failure is a possibility when taking on new challenges. Saif believes that if one encounters setbacks, it’s essential to brush it off and move forward rather than dwell on disappointments.
Released in 2023, ‘Adipurush,’ inspired by the Hindu epic Ramayana, featured a star-studded cast including Prabhas and Kriti Sanon but ultimately faced criticism and underperformed at the box office.
On the work front, Saif was last seen in ‘Devara,’ marking his Telugu debut, co-starring with Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.
Recently he is in the news after he was involved in a violent confrontation during a burglary attempt at his Bandra residence. The intruder, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national, allegedly entered Khan’s home with the intention to steal.
