On this special occasion, the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, took to his social media handles to wish everyone a joyous Republic Day by sharing an unmissable picture of himself saluting the national flag.

On January 26, Shah Rukh Khan posted on his Instagram and X handles (formerly Twitter), sharing a picture in which the Indian flag was seen waving high in the air as he saluted it with pride and joy on this momentous day. He was dressed in a white shirt, accessorised with a classy chain and black sunglasses.

While sharing the post, he wrote: “This Republic Day, let’s promise ourselves to contribute to an India that we can proudly pass on to the generations to come. Let’s uphold the values of the Constitution and hold our heads high with pride. Happy Republic Day and Jai Hind.”

On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the government announced the prestigious Padma Awards. Late musicians Sharda Sinha and Pankaj Udhas, Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, and singer Arijit Singh were among the 139 recipients of the coveted awards for the year 2025.
