According to a report by IBTimes, Mamta and Ameesha met at a mutual friend’s party in Mauritius. Everything seemed fine until the food was served, and Mamta reportedly started scolding the waiter and the kitchen staff over the meal quality. Witnessing this, Ameesha commented on Mamta’s lack of social etiquette. Upon hearing this, Mamta reportedly lashed out at Ameesha, pointing out that while Ameesha was in Mauritius for a hair oil shoot with a much lower pay, Mamta received a significantly higher fee for the same work, implying that she was the bigger star.
Years later, in an interview with Masala.com, Ameesha was asked about her altercation with Mamta in Mauritius. Initially hesitant to discuss the matter, Ameesha eventually revealed that Mamta and her secretary were verbally abusing the cooking staff over the quality of the food. The situation escalated when Ameesha intervened, pointing out that everyone was eating the same food. Recalling the incident, Ameesha mentioned that they were attending a dinner party where Mamta’s complaints and harassment towards the staff were unbearable, with even her secretary joining in.
In the same interview with Masala.com, Ameesha explained that she tried to make Mamta Kulkarni and her manager understand that the cooks in Mauritius had done their best to prepare an Indian meal. However, they didn’t seem to appreciate it. When Ameesha stepped in to calm things down, Mamta got very angry and began acting as though she were a big star. Ameesha recalled that Mamta’s reaction was to assert her star status, questioning who Ameesha thought she was.
In the same interview, Ameesha Patel shared that things escalated when Mamta Kulkarni’s manager threatened to hit her. At that moment, Ameesha’s mother, Asha Patel, stepped in, warning the manager not to threaten her daughter. She even grabbed his hand and shouted at him. Ameesha recalled her mother telling Mamta and her manager, “If you got a little educated, it would have helped you.” Mamta’s secretary then threatened Ameesha, but her mother intervened again, grabbing the secretary’s hand and shouting, “Don’t you dare touch my daughter.”
