The seasoned J. Vishnu Vardhan, the top seed, will meet second-seeded Nitin Kumar Sinha in the men’s singles final of the Naushad Mather memorial National-ranking tennis tournament at the Regional Sports Centre here on Saturday.
Both Vishnu and Nitin were forced to fight in the first set but had it easy after that in the semifinals.
Meanwhile Pooja Ingale, the women’s top seed, bounced back after losing the first set to defeat fourth-seeded Sanjana Sirimalla while the third-seeded Laxmi Siri Dandu brushed aside second seed Sonal Patil.
Pooja Ingale and Ishwari Matere won the women’s doubles title.

Faisal Qamar and Jagmeet Singh, a Rajasthan-Haryana combo, won the men’s doubles title while Maharashtra’s Pooja and Ishwari Matere walked away with the women’s doubles trophy.
KTA patron Noordin Mather and Sunayini Naushad Mather gave away the prizes.

Doubles (finals): Men: Faisal Qamar (Raj) & Jagmeet Singh (Har) bt Lohit Aksha & Abhinav Sanjiv (TN) 6-2, 6-4.
Women: Pooja Ingale & Ishwari Anant Matere (Mah) bt Sonal Patil (Mah) & Chandana Potugari (AP) 6-4, 6-2.
