Rajpal Yadav recently received death threats via email from Pakistan. In an official statement, he confirmed that he has reported the matter to the police and the cybercrime cell. The threats, also targeting celebrities like Kapil Sharma and Remo D’Souza, are under investigation by Mumbai police following an FIR.
In an audio statement, Yadav addressed the recent death threats he received from Pakistan, stating that he does not wish to comment further on the incident. He confirmed that he has informed both the cybercrime department and the police, emphasizing, “It’s not my job to talk about this incident when I don’t know anything about it.”
Yadav further said, “I am an actor, and in acting, I try to entertain people of all ages, young and old, through my work. I don’t want to say anything more than this. Whatever needs to be said about this matter, the agencies are capable of providing the information. I have shared the details I was aware of.”
Rajpal’s wife filed a complaint, leading the Amboli Police to register an FIR under Section 351(3) of the IPC against unknown individuals. Yadav received a death threat via email on December 14, 2024. The email also targeted Kapil Sharma, Sugandha Mishra, and Remo D’Souza. The sender, using the name ‘Bishnu’ and the email address ‘Don99284,’ claimed Kapil was a target because his show was sponsored by Salman Khan.
A part of the threatening e-mail read, “We are watching your recent actions closely. We believe it is necessary to bring a sensitive matter to your attention. This is not a public stunt or an attempt to harass you. We request that you take this message seriously and maintain confidentiality”.
