In a candid response to online trolling faced by Saif Ali Khan, Pooja Bhatt defended the actor’s resilience after a video of him walking home post-hospital discharge sparked unnecessary speculation. She highlighted the strength it takes for someone to seek help in a vulnerable state and praised his determination to recover.
Pooja told ETimes, “The graphic details of the stabbing that emerged in the media painted an image in people’s heads about Saif’s physical state. That image was perhaps not in sync with the visuals of seeing him walk out of hospital on his own two feet.”
“But don’t these very people forget that they lauded him for walking himself into the hospital as well? A man who checks himself into hospital in a wounded, traumatised condition surely has the grit to walk out of hospital on his own. We should be applauding this instead of resorting to being conspiracy theorists,” she added.
Dressed in a white shirt and blue jeans, with a cast on his arm and a bandage on his neck, Saif Ali Khan returned to his Bandra home in Mumbai on Tuesday. This was five days after the stabbing attack that led to his hospitalisation.
He was discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday, five days after the violent attack at his home. The actor returned to his residence at the Satguru Sharan building and greeted fans gathered outside with a wave.
Saif was hospitalized early on January 16 after being stabbed by an intruder who broke into his flat intending to steal. The situation escalated into violence when one of the domestic helpers spotted the intruder.
