Saif Ali Khan, who was attacked at his Bandra residence on January 16, is currently undergoing treatment at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital and is reportedly recovering well. The stabbing incident has left his family, friends, and fans deeply concerned.
Zahan Kapoor, Saif’s brother-in-law and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s cousin, expressed relief over Saif’s recovery. Speaking to Money Control, the grandson of Shashi Kapoor said, “I can’t comment on what the incident is because I think no one truly knows yet. I know that he is safe right now and recovering well. As far as I know, he is completely out of danger. I am very thankful for that. It is undoubtedly shocking.”
Actor Rahul Bhat, Zahan’s Black Warrant co-star, also commented on the shocking incident. He said, “Sometimes it gives me chills. I can completely understand what he must have gone through. One can’t even imagine how horrible and terrible this incident is. I only pray to God for his quick recovery and strength to move past this terrible experience.”
The attack occurred in the early hours of January 16 when an intruder, identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, entered Saif’s home with alleged intentions of theft. Saif was injured while intervening in a confrontation between the intruder and his housemaid. The actor sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for treatment.
Soha Ali Khan, Saif’s sister, addressed the media during an event, saying, “We are happy that he is recovering well. We feel very blessed and grateful that it wasn’t any worse. Thank you for all your wishes.”
