New parents Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were recently spotted in the city after attending Ranveer’s cousin’s wedding. This marks the first public appearance of the couple together since the birth of their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh. The duo looked regal in their traditional attire, walking hand-in-hand as they made their way to their car.
Deepika stunned in a pink embroidered anarkali suit adorned with heavy jewelry, while Ranveer complemented her perfectly in a white embroidered sherwani. Ranveer was every bit the gentleman, assisting Deepika into the car.
The wedding was a star-studded affair with other notable attendees including Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Anjali Tendulkar, and their daughter Sara Tendulkar. Politician Raj Thackeray, socialite Orry, and several others were also present. Ranveer’s mother Anju Bhavnani and his grandfather, fondly known as his Rockstar Nana, were spotted stepping out of the venue, adding to the family’s celebratory presence.
Last year, Deepika made headlines when she joined Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh on stage during his Bengaluru concert, dancing to his hits Hass Hass and Lover. The concert held special significance for Deepika, as it marked her first public appearance after Dua’s birth and was hosted in her hometown.
Deepika and Ranveer officially introduced Dua to the world last Christmas, inviting the paparazzi to their residence while requesting privacy for her photographs. They announced her name, “Dua Padukone Singh,” during Diwali, sharing a heartfelt note, “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love & gratitude.”
On the professional front, Deepika was last seen alongside Ranveer in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, portraying the fierce Shakti Shetty, aka Lady Singham.
