Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with ‘Azaad’ co-starring Ajay Devgn‘s nephew Aaman Devgan. Ahead of the film’s release, Rasha opened up about being compared to young actresses like Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor.
In an interview with Filmygyaan, Rasha responded to comments comparing her to Janhvi, Khushi, and Suhana. She humbly acknowledged their experience and body of work. She emphasised that, unlike them, she is just starting her journey, with no releases yet, and sees an opportunity to learn from their achievements rather than viewing it as competition.
Rasha is making waves with her dance number in Azaad. Fans have mixed opinions about her performance in the song Uyi Amma—some were reminded of Katrina Kaif‘s iconic Chikni Chameli and loved her moves, while others thought she was just okay.
Janhvi began her Bollywood journey with Karan Johar’s Dhadak. Over time, she featured in films like Devara Part-I with Jr NTR, Mili, Roohi, and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Up next, she’ll share the screen with Varun Dhawan in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
Khushi and Suhana made their debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, which received mixed reactions to their performances. Khushi is gearing up for her next project, Loveyapa, alongside Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid. Meanwhile, Suhana will share the screen with her father, Shah Rukh Khan, in Siddharth Anand’s King.
Meanwhile, Azaad, a historical drama directed by Abhishek Kapoor, is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor. The film features Ajay Devgn, Diana Penty, and introduces newcomers Aaman Devgn and Rasha Thadani. It is set to release in theaters on January 17.
