Reports and speculations have been circulating on the internet about Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal ending their marriage through divorce over the past few weeks. The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, have not directly addressed the rumours but have been sharing cryptic notes online. Amidst the chaos, an old video has gone viral where Yuzi’s friend, cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, filmed how Chahal was carrying all the luggage during a trip ahead of their match, while Dhanashree was walking with only a trolley bag.

Shikhar opened the video by saying, “Yeh dekhiye Yuzi ka hua bada khulasa.” He shared that Yuzi had become a coolie for his wife while showing him holding a lot of bags, including one backpack and another on his chest. Dhanashree has always accompanied Yuzi on India’s foreign cricket tours. After India won the T20I series, the team travelled to Christchurch from Hamilton. Shikhar, who was leading the team in the absence of Rohit Sharma, uploaded the video from the airport, tagging both Chahal and Dhanashree. He captioned the clip, “Hua pardah fash. Yeh dekhiye Yuzi yaha coolie bana hua hai. Ek insaan kitna saman utha raha hai. Yeh dekhiye. Yuzi ka sach.”
After showing Chahal carrying the bags, Shikhar turned the camera towards Dhanashree, who was seen wearing a black jacket paired with denim and a T-shirt. She was carrying only a pink trolley bag, and as soon as he started recording her, she pretended to have pain in her knee. “Mere pair mei bahut takleef hai, nahi toh hamesha mei saara duniya ka bojh uthati hu,” she said in the clip.
Shikhar playfully expressed sympathy for Yuzvendra by addressing him as “nanni si jaan” (tiny sweetheart). In a witty response, Dhanashree remarked, “The nanni si jaan be strong.” The lighthearted exchange highlighted the camaraderie between the trio. Shikhar had also been a guest at the couple’s wedding in 2020.
