Sheeba Akashdeep Sabir recently shared how Sunil Dutt introduced her to the technique of method acting during her debut film Yeh Aag Kab Bujhegi. She recalled how he advised her not to meet the cast to preserve her character’s emotional intensity.
In conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Sheeba shared how she practiced method acting during her debut film. While filming an intense climax scene, where her character is set on fire for dowry, director Sunil Dutt asked her to isolate herself and remain in an emotional state all day. He emphasized staying deeply connected to the character’s emotions without distractions. She mentioned that since then, she never used glycerine for crying scenes.

In Yeh Aag Kab Bujhegi, Sunil Dutt directed and played the lead role, sharing the screen with Rekha. The film’s music and lyrics were composed by the acclaimed Ravindra Jain.

The actress further shared another memory from an earlier interview, recalling how Sunil Dutt became upset when she signed Athisaya Piravi with Rajinikanth while still working on Yeh Aag Kab Bujhegi. Dutt was concerned that the Rajinikanth film might overshadow their project, as he wanted Yeh Aag Kab Bujhegi to be released first.
Sheeba’s latest appearance on the big screen was in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, directed and produced by Karan Johar.
