The infamous defamation case of 2022, where Depp filed a lawsuit in 2019 due to an op-ed Heard wrote in The Washington Post that Depp used to domestically abuse her during their marriage. He filed the defamation lawsuit as it damaged his career, irreparably and won the settlement against her in 2022.
They met on the sets of ‘The Rum Diary’ in 2009 and began dating three years later. In 2015, the duo got married, however, a year later, Heard filed for divorce and allegedly accused Depp of physical abuse during their time together.
