Parikshit Somani and Dhakshineswar Suresh emerged doubles champions in the $30,000 ITF men’s tennis tournament at the Indore Tennis Club on Saturday.
The unseeded Indian pair which had beaten the top seeds in the first round, got a walkover in the final from Mathys Erhard and Alastair Gray.
It was the maiden title in the professional circuit for the 24-year-old Dhakshineswar who had made the doubles semifinals of the ATP Tour event in Winston-Salem in August last year with Luca Pow of Britain.
It was the seventh doubles title in the professional circuit for the 25-year-old Parikshit who was ranked a career-high 256 in doubles in 2023.
In the singles semifinals, Samir Banejree of USA beat third-seed Oliver Crawford to set up a title clash against Gray.

Singles (semifinals): Alastair Gray (GBR) bt Florent Bax (Fra) 7-5, 6-0; Samir Banerjee (USA) bt Oliver Crawford (GBR) 6-3, 6-4.
Doubles (final): Parikshit Somani & Dhakshineswar Suresh w.o. Mathys Erhard (Fra) & Alastair Gray (GBR).
